Reem Abou Samra, the founder and owner of José Eber Laloge salons, takes luxury, good hair and flawless makeup very seriously – after all thats what her successful business is built on. Locals and expats alike flock to her salons for an experience like no other and team EW were invited to check out the latest destination. Unlike the first two French-inspired beauty lounges, the new José Eber Laloge has a completely different feel to fit the decor of the five-star resort and to blend seamlessly with the adjacent spa. Abou Samra worked closely with the hotel group to achieve the bespoke and exclusive design that would meet the standards of her affluent clients.

The Setting

Beauty and grooming zone mix uber-modern décor with sleek wooden finishes giving an updated twist on its trademark opulent interior. The chic Mani/Pedi stations are complete with soft white leather high-back seats that are cocooned within a private cabin. Not only is the venue a sprawling definition of elegance and comfort, the staff are also incredibly attentive and friendly. With no expense spared at what is now the brand’s largest venue to date, the generously spaced 1,800 sq ft. beauty and grooming zone mixes uber-modern décor with sleek wooden finishes, giving an updated twist on its trademark opulent interior. An architect’s dream, the super chic Mani/Pedi stations, complete with soft white leather high-back seats are cocooned within a private cabin, more in-line with a first-class flying experience than a traditional salon setting.

From hair to makeup to everything.” Hiring specialists in every field that could meet expectations meant that finding the right staff was a challenge: “That’s the most difficult part because you have to give them the right training. You have to find the right person. Not only should they be very good at work, they should have a good personality and attitude. This is a problem in this field. That’s why we doing a lot of academy work because we have to train them in everything. So everyone who is enters the company knows that after six months there will be something else. It’s constant training.”
